What are the best family-friendly activities in Vancouver for 2026?

Finding fun activities for kids of all ages can be a bit tricky, especially when everyone has different interests and energy levels. With so many options in Vancouver, it can feel overwhelming to figure out what’s genuinely family-friendly and appropriate for a range of ages. Some events might cater more to younger kids, while others could be too challenging for little ones, making it hard to please everyone.

What strategies do you use to find activities that work for your family? Are there specific websites or local resources you turn to for discovering events that everyone can enjoy? Sharing your experiences—what’s worked and what hasn’t—can be super helpful for other parents in the same boat.

What family-friendly activities have you had the most success with lately? Are there any new spots or events in Vancouver that you think are a must-try?

We recently checked out the new science museum, and it totally impressed both my 6-year-old and 12-year-old. It has a mix of hands-on exhibits and cool demos that kept them engaged. Also, I found a great local events site that lists family activities and filters them by age, which makes planning way easier!

I’ve had good luck with the Vancouver Aquarium; it’s got a ton of exhibits that keep both my toddler and my older kid entertained. Also, check out the local libraries—they often have storytimes and craft days that are great for all ages. Just keeping an eye on the community calendar helps too; there’s usually a bunch of pop-up events happening!
