I totally relate to this! When my kid has a meltdown, I try to take a breath and focus on validating their feelings first. I’ve found that using visual timers helps me keep track of timeouts or transitions, which reduces my own frustration and keeps things calmer at home. Also, having a “calm down” corner with a few comforting items can work wonders for both me and the kids.
