Is Meal Prep a Good Idea for Busy Parents?

As a busy parent, juggling work and family can feel overwhelming, especially when it comes to feeding toddlers. Mornings often become a frantic rush, and dinner can turn into a struggle with picky eaters. I’m thinking about trying meal prep to help alleviate some of this stress, but I’m curious if it’s really worth the time.

I’ve heard from some parents who swear by meal prepping, saying it saves them time during the week and ensures their kids eat healthier. On the flip side, I’ve also heard it requires a significant time commitment upfront. If you’ve tried meal prepping, how has it impacted your daily routine or your kids’ eating habits?

I’m eager to hear your experiences and advice!

Meal prep can definitely cut down on stress, but I’ve found it’s not always a time-saver in the beginning. It took me a while to get into a routine, and some meals ended up untouched because my kid wasn’t in the mood. It’s great to have some healthy options ready, but be prepared for some trial and error!

Meal prep can totally help, but it’s not always a miracle solution. I tried it for a bit, and while it saved time, my kids weren’t as into the prepped food as I hoped. Maybe start small with just a couple of meals to see how your kids react before diving all in?
