I’ve been exploring bilingual childcare options in Sydney, but I’m unsure if the benefits really outweigh the potential downsides. My toddlers are picking up words in both English and Mandarin at home, and I’m curious if a bilingual environment would boost their learning or just confuse them.

I’ve heard mixed reviews from other parents. Some rave about their kids effortlessly picking up languages and enjoying exposure to different cultures. On the other hand, some worry it might delay language acquisition or leave their children feeling torn. Has anyone had success with local bilingual programs? What age do you think is best to start?
