How do you handle parenting with anxiety?

Parenting while dealing with anxiety can be really challenging. Some days, the usual chaos of kids can trigger my anxious thoughts, making it tough to stay calm and engaged. I often find myself questioning whether I’m doing enough or if I’m being too strict, especially during those tantrum-filled moments. It’s a lot to juggle, and I know many of us face this struggle.

I’ve been exploring different ways to manage my anxiety while still being a supportive parent. Establishing small routines has sometimes helped me feel more in control, but I also worry about being overly structured. I’d love to hear from others—what strategies have worked for you? How do you create a nurturing atmosphere when anxiety starts to creep in? What tips or tricks do you use to balance your own emotional health with your parenting duties?

I totally get where you’re coming from. I’ve found that just stepping outside for a few minutes when things get too overwhelming can really help clear my head. Sometimes a quick walk makes a big difference and lets me tackle the chaos with a little more patience. Have you tried something like that?
