How do you cope with parenting anxiety during the teenage years?

The teenage years can be really tough for both parents and kids, especially when anxiety starts to set in. Just last week, I found myself stressing over my teen’s late-night hangout plans. I couldn’t help but wonder: Are they safe? Are they making good choices? It feels like a never-ending cycle of worry.

What’s even more challenging is that while my teen is seeking their independence, I instinctively want to protect them. I’ve talked to other parents, but it seems like everyone has different methods. Some say to set strict curfews, while others believe in trusting our kids to make their own decisions.

How do you find the right balance between worrying and giving your teen the freedom they need? What strategies have you found helpful for managing that anxiety?
