How do you choose healthy snacks for your teens?

Finding healthy snacks for teens can be a real challenge, especially with their busy schedules. Between school, sports, and social activities, it’s easy for them to grab whatever’s convenient, even if it’s not the healthiest choice. As a parent, I want to ensure they’re getting the right nutrients while still enjoying what they eat.

I’ve tried a few strategies, like involving my teens in snack planning and coming up with quick, easy recipes we can make together. But I’d love to hear how other parents handle this. Do you prefer pre-packaged snacks, or do you have some favorite homemade options that your teens actually enjoy? What tips do you have for making healthier choices feel less like a chore?

I’m interested in your experiences. How do you strike a balance between convenience and nutrition?

I get what you mean about the convenience struggle! I’ve found that keeping a stash of things like popcorn or Greek yogurt in the fridge helps a lot. My teens actually like making yogurt parfaits with fruit and granola, and it feels like a treat rather than being “healthy.”
