How do you choose educational toys for your kids?

Choosing educational toys can be a bit daunting, especially with kids at different ages. I recently found myself overwhelmed by a shelf full of options, trying to select toys that would not only capture my kids’ attention but also support their learning. I’m looking for toys that spark creativity and critical thinking, but I don’t want to add more stress to my already busy life.

How do you approach this? Do you look for toys that develop specific skills, or do you let your kids’ interests lead the way? What brands or types of toys have you found most engaging for your little ones? I’d love to hear any recommendations that have really kept your kids interested!

I usually just follow my kids’ interests, like when my younger one got really into space stuff. We found some cool magnetic blocks that let them build rockets and stuff, and they both love it! Makes it easy to mix in learning without stressing over specific skills.

I usually go with what my kids are into at the moment. We tried some building blocks that turned out to be a hit, plus they help with problem-solving. I also look for stuff that’s open-ended, like art supplies or puzzles—they stay engaged way longer!
