How do you approach digital parenting with Verizon?

Managing technology use with teens can be quite a challenge. Many parents aim to find the right balance between keeping their kids connected and ensuring they use their devices responsibly. Verizon offers a range of features like parental controls and screen time limits, but implementing these tools effectively can feel daunting.

For those who use Verizon, what strategies have you found helpful in your digital parenting journey? Do you prefer to set strict limits, or do you give your teens more freedom with guidance? Every family seems to have a unique approach, and I’d love to hear about your experiences.

What challenges have you faced while navigating digital parenting? Any advice on striking that perfect balance between structure and support?

I find discussing the why behind limits helps a lot. Instead of just imposing rules, I let my teen know my concerns about online safety, and we talk about it. It’s not perfect, but it gets them to think more critically about their use. Plus, sharing some of my own tech struggles makes for a more open convo.

I think the parental controls can be a bit overwhelming at first. We tried setting strict limits, but my kid just found ways around them. Now, we focus more on having conversations about responsible use instead. It feels easier and seems to work better for us.
