How can we resolve conflicts in step parenting?

Conflicts in blended families can be incredibly difficult to manage. Emotions run high, not just for the kids but for the adults trying to create harmony. For those who have stepped into the role of a stepparent, what strategies have you found successful in handling disagreements or misunderstandings?

One common issue is when children’s loyalty creates tension in the family dynamic. Striking a balance where everyone feels acknowledged and valued is no small feat. Have any of you found effective conversations or activities that help diffuse these conflicts?
