Do Standing Desks Really Help New Parents?

As a new parent, I’m experiencing so many changes and challenges, and I’ve been considering whether a standing desk could make a difference during those long work hours while managing baby duties. I’ve heard that sitting for too long can be tough, especially when I’m trying to stay focused, and that standing desks may help reduce back pain and fatigue.

Has anyone here transitioned to a standing desk since becoming a parent? I’m curious about whether it actually boosts productivity and energy levels, or if it just brings a new set of discomforts. What has your experience been like? Would you recommend it for someone juggling work and caring for a little one?

I switched to a standing desk last year and it did help my back a lot, especially with all the leaning over during diaper changes. It took a bit to get used to, but I found I had more energy for those late-night work sessions. Just make sure to have a good mat to stand on, or your feet might complain after a while!
